3 Major Hong Kong Tech Startup Programmes Now Receiving Applications

The CCMF (Hong Kong Programme) and Cyberport Incubation Programme are now calling for recruitment in Hong Kong. The deadline is at 5pm, 15 October 2014. CCMF (Hong Kong Programme) offers a cash grant of HK$100,000 to aspiring entrepreneurs to turn ideas into prototypes in a 6-month project period. Cyberport Incubation Programme provides financial assistance or reimbursement of up to HK$530,000 to incubated companies in a 24-month incubation period for jump starting their business.

For young entrepreneurs aspiring to enter into the China market, the Guangdong-Hong Kong ICT Young Entrepreneur Programme (GD-HK ICT YEP) is calling for programme application with the deadline at 5pm, 10 October 2014. GD-HK ICT YEP is one of the CCMF (Cross-Border Programme(s)) which aims to foster partnership between ICT talents from Hong Kong (HK) and Guangzhou through a series of business skills training. Participants can also gain practical and start-up experience, understand cross-border culture, and enter into international market. We are going to organize a Business Model Canvas Introduction Workshop cum CCMF and Incubation Program Information Session which will be held on 16 Sept (Tue), from2:00pm – 5:00pm at Cyberport Entrepreneurship Centre. The information session will cover an introduction of the support offered by Cyberport to Start-Ups, the CCMF and Incubation Programme application tips, a chance to meet with Cyberport incubatees. The FREE Introduction Workshop on Business Model Canvas provides a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool to sharpen the technique of start-ups and entrepreneurs to describe, design, invent and pivot the business model of their existing start-up ideas or businesses. The model is taken in different approach from general business plan and is used by all of the successful tech accelerators. Presentation and demonstration will be given in the workshop.
