Global online food delivery marketplace foodpanda today announces a sequence of momentous acquisitions in Hong Kong. Asia is cornerstone to foodpanda’s global strategy, placing Hong Kong at the forefront, where foodpanda has taken over Dial-a-Dinner, Koziness.com, SOHO Delivery, and Ring-a-Dinner . foodpanda is active in 39 countries across five continents. Already in leading position in most of its Asian markets, foodpanda additionally acquires competitors in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, India and Pakistan
Initially, all five brands will continue to be represented independently, with foodpanda remaining the mass-market leader. As operations consolidate, customers will gain streamlined access to over 500 restaurants. foodpanda customers will now enjoy expanding offerings such as: the One Michelin Starred The Square-Guangdong Dim Sum, Spaghetti House, Berliner, and Café Siam. The increased operational capacity also allows foodpanda to aggressively add restaurants to their ever-expanding menu and confirm their market dominance in the food delivery space.
foodpanda’s acquisition of the popular, Soho-centric, online food delivery service, Koziness.com will mean expanded service for foodpanda’s corporate clients. The newly acquired Dial-a-Dinner, which has been operating in Hong Kong since 1999, unlocks a door to increased restaurant offerings, most notably in the Kowloon, South, and North Hong Kong Island areas. The acquisition also brings the expanded service of Dial-a-Dinner’s convenience store items delivered on-demand. Customers will now be able to order items such as: ice and alcohol for their big party, and Panadol for the morning after, conveniently delivered to their homes.
