Cyberport Paints Youth’s Summer in the Colour of Innovation with Inspiring Activities
Hong Kong, 3 July 2014 – The long-awaited summer vacation is about to begin. Dedicated to cultivate and foster the holistic development of future ICT leaders, Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport) today announced a series of inspiring summer activities around the theme of “Connecting Youth to Technology”, painting this summer in the colour of innovation and creativity to cultivate youth’s interests and mind-set that can lead them towards a successful career in ICT industry.
“The future of ICT industry, like every other industry, lies in the hands of the youth. This is why Cyberport has always been investing in grooming students of all ages to become the next generation ICT leaders. Whilst equipping the youth with the technical knowledge and skillset necessary for pursuing a successful career, we also aim at bringing them a fruitful and eventful summer vacation,” said Terence Leung, Manager of Cyberport Knowledge Centre.
Cyberport’s “Connecting Youth to Technology” touches on the every facet of ICT in education to ensure students of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled and knowledgeable summer – from coding camp for kindergarten & primary school students, short film contest for secondary school students, teacher training workshop to internship programmes for tertiary students.

The first activity to kick off Cyberport’s “Connecting Youth to Technology” campaign will be the “My Innovation Carnival” hosted in The Arcade of Cyberport on 5th and 6th July. The Carnival is an open to public event for all visitors to have a better understanding of technology adoption and most importantly, to provide a platform for the youth to showcase their ideas, creations and innovations. This platform also provides ICT knowledge and skill sharing among youngsters and inspires them to develop their interests and career in the ICT industry.
