HKSTP Partner Companies and Incubatees Winners at HK ICT Awards
Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) is proud to announce that 26 partner companies and incubatees based at Hong Kong Science Park collected 34 prizes at this year’s Hong Kong ICT Awards, including the annual “Award of the Year”, three Grand Awards and five Gold awards in various categories.
Incubatees from HKSTP won three grand awards at the annual contest while one of the companies was named the grand winner of the night. The successful companies included: Nbition Development Ltd, which took home the Grand Award and the Gold Award (Consumer Market) in the Best ICT Startup Award category, as well as the prize “Award of the Year”; Axon Labs Ltd, won the Grand Award and Gold Award (Public Sector Information Application) in the Best Smart Hong Kong Award category; and TFI Digital Media Ltd, collected the Grand Award and a Gold Award (Product) in the Best Business Solution Award category.

Nbition Development Ltd: The Best ICT Startup Award – Grand Award, Gold Award (Consumer Market) and Award of the Year
Nbition’s focus is to bring mobile eCommerce to the food industry. Its coffeemaker, Arist, provides an innovative approach to coffee brewing. By combining a smart coffee-making machine with an easy-to-use smartphone app, the solution brews coffee in a specific, precise and consistent way based on users’ favourite drink recipes, at just the tap of a button. It can even remember certain coffee cups with the aid of an NFC sticker.
Axon Labs Ltd: The Best Smart Hong Kong Award – Grand Award and Gold Award (Public Sector Information Application)
Axon’s HKBus+ is an information platform offering a comprehensive public transportation information service in Hong Kong, covering franchised buses, mini-buses, MTR, ferries and trams. By combining the open data released by the Hong Kong Government and data collected from the Internet, the app offers comprehensive and up-to-date traffic information to the public, including traffic conditions of the three cross-harbour tunnels. HKBus+ is one of the most popular public transportation apps in Hong Kong, with over 470,000 downloads.
TFI Digital Media Ltd: The Best Business Solution Award – Grand Award and the Gold Award (Product)
TFI Digital’s HERMES OTT Platform is a solution for the delivery of TV content through the Internet or via an over-the-top (OTT) device connected to a TV set. This on-demand broadcasting approach allows two-way interaction between users and the content source, and has opened up new opportunities for online TV broadcasters, content developers and advertisers. The solution has been used by numerous online TV operators in the region, including Hong Kong Television Network Ltd for the launch of its online TV services in Hong Kong in November 2014.
Led by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and organised by 10 Hong Kong ICT industry associations and professional bodies, the annual Hong Kong ICT Awards aims at recognising and promoting outstanding ICT solutions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among local enterprises in their constant pursuit for creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs.
