Hong Kong Startup Allows Bloggers to Earn Commission
Hong Kong based Startup Minipopup has been making a name for itself in the online fashion industry thanks to its innovative ways. They operate by selecting top fashion bloggers from all around the world and allowing them to curate content for their website.
Minipopup boosts of curating content from places such as Nasty Gal and Net-a-porter or event from the likes of brands such as Alexander McQueen, YSL, Miu Miu and Moschino between many others. They also offer discounts for all these brands that help attract more traffic to their website.
Benoit Lavaud the CEO and Founder of Minipopup says how they are currently working with 500 different curators from all around the world although 60% of them are based in Asia, the rest come from different parts of Europe and America. Yet he is planning on doubling that number by the end of the year. Despite Minipopup being launched this past January they already count with the partnership of over 20 e-tailers and 3000 brands. These numbers will do nothing but grow and the year goes on, thus increasing their available content and options for fashionistas all around the world.
So far the startup has raised US1.5 million but Mr. Lavaud is still looking to increase that by US$600,000 in order to keep up their website, create a bigger team and make his company more efficient, since despite its rapid success Minipopup only has four current members of staff. As the company increases so will the team in order to give a better experience to customers.
