Can you explain “what is hackathon” to the ones who don’t know what it is?

Sabeen: A hackathon is usually a 24 to 36 hour event where entrepreneurs, developers and designers come together in a innovative environment to collaborate, network and build out ideas together. At the end of each hackathon, each team presents what they have created and prizes are awarded. They are tons of fun and are also always filled with games, snacks and nerf guns!

What makes the “Master of Code” hackathon different from the other ones?

Sabeen: MasterCards Masters of Code is a year-long competition that is looking for the BEST developers from around the world. That alone makes it different. MasterCard is looking to provide a special experience to these hackers by making everything from the events, prizes and grand finale as extravagant as possible!

Why Hong Kong?

Sabeen: Hong Kong is a prominent city in tech and is growing exponentially each year, we know there is great talent here.
